Description

JX Filtration offers a comprehensive range of cartridge filter housings designed for precision liquid clarification and fine filtration across diverse industrial applications. Cartridge filter is a device with a filter element as the core filter component, with a structure typically consisting of a housing and a replaceable filter element.
Available in single-cartridge and multi-cartridge configurations, our cartridge filter housings accommodate a wide variety of filter cartridges—including melt-blown PP, pleated, sintered, and wound types—to meet different temperature, chemical compatibility, and precision requirements. With filtration precision ranging from 0.1 to 100 microns and flow capacities up to 200 m³/h per housing, they deliver consistent, high-quality filtration for water treatment, chemical processing, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and many other industries.

Working Principle

Filtration Stage: Liquid enters the housing through the inlet and passes through the filter cartridge. The filter medium—whether melt-blown PP fibers, pleated membrane, sintered metal, or wound yarn—intercepts and retains solid particles, microorganisms, colloids, and other impurities on or within the filter material. Clean liquid flows out from the outlet, ready for downstream processing. Filtration can be configured as out-to-in (standard) or in-to-out depending on the cartridge type and application requirements.

Cartridge Retention: As filtration proceeds, contaminants accumulate on the filter medium. The cartridge's dirt-holding capacity determines the service life between replacements. In melt-blown PP cartridges, the gradient density structure—with progressively finer pores from outside to inside—allows the entire filter body to participate in particle capture, significantly extending service life compared to surface-type filters.

Cartridge Replacement: When the differential pressure reaches a preset level or when the recommended service interval is reached, the system is depressurized, the housing opened via quick-opening or bolted closures, and the spent cartridge is removed and replaced with a fresh one. The housing is reusable, making cartridge filters an economical long-term solution.
